Mr. Rivera is a member of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation of Orange County, CA. Anthony has twenty years of experience in management and business development, academic and government assignments and projects. He has served various businesses and tribal organizations as an Executive Leader, Elected Official, Project Manager, Lead Negotiator, Business Diplomat, Financial Specialist, Academic Instructor, Security Operator, and Cultural Specialist. In his role as Tribal Chairman of the Acjachemen Nation in southern California from 2005 to 2013, Mr. Rivera Jr. was instrumental in leading the tribe’s economic and political efforts in both California and in Washington D.C.
Additionally, Mr. Rivera Jr. served as a Delegate to the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), Executive Board Member of American Indian Services (AIS), Expert Witness to the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and Trustee of JBMI Trust. He has served as a college faculty member instructor of Native American Studies, and has several years of corporate experience with financial institutions such as UBS Financial and One America. Mr. Rivera Jr. is a trusted corporate tribal professional that bridges gaps between corporate America and Indian Country. Anthony has a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree from Harvard University.
